Date of birth: September 5, 1920 (Taisho 9)
From about 1970 (Showa 45) he studied under a certain ceramist. He set the electric kiln of gas combined use in 1975 (Showa 50), and started pot trial production.
He was watched with keen interest in 1981 (Showa 56) because of the first appearance and prize-winning of the Japanese Kobachi exhibition, since then he continued receiving award by the famous Kobachi exhibition.
He is a recognized authority of underglaze painting pot which has practical use and appreciation both sides now, and the splendid style has often told the tradition of Kyoto ceramic ware. |
